Essie’s A Crewed Interest is an light peach creme that is surprisingly bright. I wanted to like this polish so much, but I just can’t. I thought the color would look great with my skin tone, and in the bottle, it does. But when I get it on my nails, it brings out all the yellow in my skin and makes my hands look really dirty in comparison. I could probably have dealt with this if not for the formula. Shown here is SEVEN thin, streaky coats of polish. At least five are required to eliminate the streakiness. I thought thin coats would help it actually dry at all, but no. Two coats of quick dry topcoat and three hours later, this was not only dentable, it wiped completely off when I tried to put a sweatshirt on.
As much as I wanted to love this, I just can’t. And from what I’ve read online, I’m not the only one who has issues with this polish. Also, I bought a salon bottle before receiving a retail bottle as a gift, so I can tell you that neither one is better than the other. Both formulas are horrible. I expect more from my favorite brand. Part of me still really wants to try and make this work. I’ll keep you updated if I experiment with it more.
Have any of you tried A Crewed Interest? Any tips on making trouble polishes work?
