Where the Wild Things Are

One of my favorite authors, Maurice Sendak died today.  Since I am in the middle of a nail art challenge, my immediate reaction was to pay tribute to his amazing art and my favorite children’s book: Where the Wild Things Are.

Thumb to pinky: wild thing, Max’s boat, Max’s bedroom turning into a forest, Max, forest leaves.

Colors used: Essie Brooch the Subject, Essie Blanc, Essie Licorice, Essie School of Hard Rocks, Essie Cocktail Bling, Essie Bobbing for Baubles, Essie Going Incognito, Essie Glamour Purse, Essie Lady Like, Essie Very Structured, Essie Power Clutch, Essie Da Bush, Essie Lapis of Luxury, Essie Mesmerize, Essie Sand Tropez, China Glaze Recycle, Nicole by OPI Green Up Your Act, OPI Thanks a Windmillion, OPI You Don’t Know Jacques, Sephora by OPI Dark Room, Zoya Pippa, Zoya Caitlin, Zoya Arizona

They’re not perfect (I could never replicate Sendak’s art, let alone on my nails), but I like them.  My favorite is the Max nail – I love how that one turned out!

Let the wild rumpus start!
