Clambake

The weather yesterday in Boston was very reminiscent of summer, even though the temperature didn’t even hit seventy.  It was humid and it smelled like summer, and it made me want to wear bright colors.  So I put on the newest addition to my collection: Essie Clambake.  It’s a bright red-orange jelly that feels like candy on my nails.  Plus, I love the name – it’s the main reason this has been at the top of my wish list for months.

However, like many jellies, it is really sheer.  If you look closely, you can still see the white moons of my nails, and this is FOUR semi-thick coats.  The first time I wore this, I tried five coats and it never dried – was still dentable the next day.  But I figured no one but me would notice (or care), and the color more than makes up for it.

This is four coats of Clambake with two coats of Essie Good to Go.

Sorry about the picture quality, I this is my first post from my new computer and I don’t have Photoshop, so I’m trying to figure out a good (cheap) way to edit pics.  Let me know if you have any good editing software suggestions for Mac!
