Sorry about the lack of swatch posts lately! I’ve been super busy with graduation, summer school, and the nail art challenge, but I’m going to be posting more from now on.
Anyway, I just got the Essie Poppy-Razzi collection so I thought I’d show you one of them today. As with most red-toned oranges, Bazooka was really difficult to photograph, so I have two pictures for you today.
The first is not quite color accurate, but almost captures the glowy neon quality of this color. This is what Bazooka looks like in dim light. I messed with the color on my computer, but still couldn’t make it turn out right.
This picture is blurry, but more color accurate. I would definitely classify Bazooka as neon, simply because it glows in a way brights just don’t. But it’s not obnoxious, eye-searing neon. I’m not 100% comfortable with neon tips just yet, so this is an excellent way to ease into it. I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of Bazooka this summer (along with the rest of the Poppy-Razzi collection, which I will show you soon!)
This is three coats (and though you can’t really tell in the pictures, it is still a little sheer) with Essie Good to Go. This polish does dry semi-matte, which I actually liked, but was in a hurry so added the topcoat to speed drying.
Will you be trying neons this summer?
And what do you think about the name of this polish? I can’t figure it out. Lights, Camera, Action, and… Bazooka?
