Mermaid Accent

My accent nails are usually just a coat of glitter or flakes on one or two nails.  But I had these two sitting next to each other on my desk, and loved how they looked together, so I just went for it.  I used OPI Thanks a Windmillion with OPI I Vant to be A-Lone Star on my ring fingers.

I wore it like this for a day, and then decided to add a “fishtail” on my ring fingers.  I’ve been meaning to try this tutorial by Sarah from Chalkboard Nails, and figured it would look great here.

I used Thanks a Windmillion again for the fishtail.  I couldn’t decide on a third color, so I just left it at two.  I really like this!  The combination of the colors and the design just said “mermaid” to me for some reason.  In real life, the blue was a bit darker, but the pearlescent finish kept it from photographing correctly.

P.S. I have something kind of exciting planned for next week, starting tomorrow! So keep an eye out for that 🙂

    • Thank you! It’s actually a very light blue from an older collection, but I found mine at Target a week or so ago. I don’t have a lot of experience with OPI, so I don’t know that I can say they’re the best, but all the ones I have are great, so I would definitely recommend them 🙂 Hope that helps!

      • Ahhh still as a pale-y blue it looks awesome! Yeah that really helps! I get a bit bombarded with the brands, OPI, Essie, Nails Inc. etc Im just always wondering what is the best polish so I can ‘invest’ rather than buy a few and see results then 😛
