Cobalt

I have been searching for the perfect cobalt blue polish ever since I started really getting into nail polish.  I’ve tried quite a few, but they’ve always been too dark, or too dusty, or too purple, or just not vibrant enough.  That’s not to say they’re not all great polishes in their own right, they’re just not quite what I was looking for.  I’ve heard Revlon Royal is excellent, but I haven’t found it yet (though I’ve been keeping an eye out).  But I don’t think it matters anymore because I found this:

Nina Ultra Pro Cobalt.  It is THE perfect cobalt blue jelly.  Seriously, it’s gorgeous.  I got TONS of compliments on it from complete strangers.  And the dad of one of the kids I tutor interrupted me to tell me my nails were awesome.  He said they looked like glass and wanted to know where I got them done.  Totally made my day!

This was three coats with Essie Good to Go.  Application was excellent, especially for a jelly, and in real life (even in bright sunlight) you couldn’t see visible nail line.  And MAJOR plus: it didn’t stain at all!  I thought it would because 1. it’s blue and 2. it’s super pigmented, but it didn’t!  The only thing I didn’t like, and it’s a tiny little thing, is that the brush is super wide, which makes it impossible to avoid getting it on your skin.  Otherwise, this is the perfect polish!

It’s my first Nina Ultra Pro polish, and I can’t believe I haven’t tried them before!  I got this at Sally Beauty for (I think) $5.99.  Love they’re full-sized, great quality polishes for cheaper than your average salon bottle.  Definitely getting more of these!
