As far as I’m concerned, Christmas season starts the day after Thanksgiving. I was in the mood for something wintry (not yet ready for Christmassy nails) this weekend, probably because I needed something to cancel out the 80 degree weather. I had picked up a couple of the OPI NYC Ballet Polishes a few weeks ago at Ulta and figured this was the perfect time to try them out.
For this look, I started with two coats of China Glaze Pelican Grey, a light shimmery gray. Then I added a coat of OPI Pirouette My Whistle, a clear base with silver microglitter and larger, sheer white glitter. The white glitter was actually super subtle until I added a coat of OPI’s My Pointe Exactly, a very sheer gray jelly on top. I really love how even though this is a three-polish jelly sandwich, it pretty much just looks like one polish.
I am obsessed with finding OPI colors I missed out on at Ulta! Seriously. It’s an addiction. I pick up at least two (to get the free base coat) every time I go. I really love that they have a big selection, and it’s not all just recent collections.
What’s your all-time favorite OPI?
