Purple Paisley

I already mentioned that I (accidentally) ended up purchasing 11 of the 12 China Glaze Avant Garden polishes.  They’re are definitely one or two in the collection that I’m not entirely happy with, but for the most part, I love them!  For someone who owns her fair share of nail polish (and plenty more), I have a surprisingly small number of brights and pastels, and these are great options for spring and summer.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that many of the Avant Garden polishes stamp reasonably well, especially for lighter colors, so I’ve been trying out different stamping combinations.  You’ve already seen this one, but I’ve got to say, I like today’s mani even more!

I started out with a base of China Glaze Fancy Pants, which is a really pretty blurple (blue/purple) color with pink shimmer.  It’s definitely a little sheerer than I’d like, so I used three coats.  I used Bundle Monster plate 315 to stamp the paisley print with China Glaze Tart-y for the Party and then used some loose glitter to make a border on my thumb and ring finger.  You can get a better idea of what Tart-y for the Party looks like here.

If I had to pick two from the collection, it would be these Fancy Pants and Tart-y for the Party, hands-down.  They’re really very pretty.  Bright, but soft at the same time, which I love.  Although the pinks in the collection are amazing, too (and that’s from someone who generally hates pink).  Have you picked up any of the Avant Garden polishes yet?  If you have, I’d love to know what you think!

  1. Love this stamping design. The colors are perfect together.
I’ve just swatched the six shades that I purchased from this collection. I’m planning on posting them tomorrow. I really like “Life is Rosy” and “Passion for Petals” but I loveeee “Snap My Dragon” 🙂

    • Thank you!

I love those colors! I’ve had “Passion for Petals” on my toes since I got it. I didn’t think I’d like “Life is Rosy” at all, but for some reason I got it and ended up really liking it. And “Snap My Dragon” is just gorgeous! 🙂
