I have a habit of using whatever polishes happen to be on my desk, usually my recently purchased polishes. Last week, I ordered the Essie Fall collection, and wanted to use a few of them right away. I’m beginning to realize I love fall and winter colors much more than spring and summer colors, and this collection had some great ones. (I’m still eyeing most of the OPI San Fran collection). I didn’t really know what to do with them, so this happened:
I started with a base of Essie After School Boy Blazer, which is a gorgeous deep navy, even though it looks black in the pictures. Actually, it pretty much just looks black in real life, too, but the formula is amazing, so I’ll just pretend you can tell it’s navy. And then I stamped the snakeskin pattern with Essie For the Twill of It and Bundle Monster plate 215. It actually stamped surprisingly well, and I think I even like it better stamped than on its own. The duochrome really accentuates the design. You can see it much better in the second photo.
This is definitely a favorite for me. I love the colors, the duochrome, the stamping, and the combination of all three. Don’t hold it against me if I wear this until about February. Because I never want to take it off.
