Last week, I was trying to think of something new I could do on my nails, and I remembered the watercolor technique. I’ve done it before, but I’ve never really been too happy with the results. So after looking at lots of pictures of watercolor nails, and after many attempts (most of which were too overdone and ended up with my nail showing in spots), I came up with this.
I (obviously) used a ton of purples for this, and I don’t remember what they all are, but if you really need to know, I can probably figure it out. It needed a little something, so I added a coat of INM Northern Lights. I’m not too big on sparkle, but I really love how subtle and pretty Northern Lights is.
I really love how this turned out! This technique took a while for me to get the hang of, but I think I’ll be using it a lot in the future – it would make an amazing base for some simple nail art.
If you’re interested in watercolor nails, there are about a million tutorials out there, and of course I’d be happy to offer some tips.
