Roses, Roses, and More Roses

I loved these little rose nail studs, but it took me forever to come up with a nail design I liked. These were inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and I think they turned out amazing! (Side note: who else is ridiculously excited for the Emma Watson live action Beauty and the Beast movie?)

I started out with a base of Color Club Macaroon Swoon, which is a really buttery pale yellow. Then I stamped the rose design using Bundle Monster plate H16 (from the holiday collection) and (I think) SpaRitual Copper. I can’t remember the exact stamping color, but Copper’s still on my desk, so it’s the most likely suspect. The roses are from Born Pretty Store. I’ve never used any 3D nail decorations before (other than most flat studs and rhinestones), but these roses were really easy to use. Obviously, you can’t seal them with a topcoat, but they felt surprisingly secure with just a coat of Seche Vite. You can probably use nail glue on top of dry polish for an even longer lasting hold. I do have to say that they stuck up off the nail a bit more than I would prefer, but I thought they looked pretty cool anyway.

The nail studs can be purchased here from Born Pretty Store and are available in a bunch of different colors. I think the peach ones are really pretty, and the red and black ones would be great for some pretty vampy/gothic nail art! I’ve been ordering from Born Pretty Store since before I started this blog (over three years!) and they are still one of my go-to places to buy nail art supplies.
