A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some new stamping plate sets, and I couldn’t wait to use them. Of course, it took me forever to decide which one to use first, but some of the tribal designs really caught my eye.
I started with a base of Revlon Parfumerie Balsam Fir, which is definitely one of my favorite Parfumerie colors/scents so far. Then I stamped the eye of Horus design using Mash plate 65 and Essie Good as Gold. The glitter on the rest of my fingers is A Study in Polish 221B, which is a perfect black and gold glitter topcoat.
I really like how these turned out. They’re simple, but still really cool. And I really love how the sparkle is not too overwhelming.
Last night, I was in the mood for some holiday nails, but I’m still not quite ready to go all-out Christmas. I saw these on Pintrest (and cannot for the life of me find the pin right now), and knew I had to try them. I love how the pattern tones down the metallic red and the red spices up a pattern that brings to mind cozy flannel shirts and blankets. I’m kind of obsessed with them.
I started with OPI I’m Not Really a Waitress, and then stamped the pattern on with Sinful Colors Black on Black and Mash plate 50.
I’ve been really into stamping lately, but this is definitely a favorite! Couldn’t stop staring at my nails all day.
Today’s post is more Halloween nail art! Are you getting sick of it yet? I hope not, because there are seven more days (I didn’t really think this twelve days of nail art thing through haha).
These are not the best or most creative, but I really wanted to use my new stamping plates, and this is what I came up with.
For the base, I used China Glaze Immortal from their Wicked Halloween collection. I was stupid and didn’t get pictures of it alone, but it’s a gorgeous shimmery gray. I stamped the skulls using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On and Mash plate 29. At that point, it was really boring, so I added black rhinestones for eyes.
Stamping is not as easy as it looks, at least for me, so I’m pretty happy with how these came out.
Happy Wednesday everyone!
